A “Boating Accident” is a general term that includes loss of consciousness, medical treatment, loss of life, disappearance, or injury/disability in excess of 24 hours to any person on board or connected to a vessel regardless of lack of any damage to the vessel itself or its equipment. A vessel is also said to be involved in a Boating Accident if the occurrence results in damage by or to the vessel or its equipment in excess of $200. This includes capsizing, collision, fire, foundering, explosion, or disappearance of the vessel other than theft.
