GRAND RAPIDS -- A 60-year-old man is recovering from apparent internal injuries he suffered in an industrial incident in Clare County.

Doctors at Spectrum Health System in Grand Rapids have upgraded John Richards to fair condition from critical. Richards, 60, received injuries May 15 at Renosol Corp. in Farwell, police have said.

Clare County sheriff's detectives and the state Occupational Safety and Health Administration are investigating. Police did not provide details about what caused Richards' injuries.
