: Man Killed in Construction Accident

DURHAM -- The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating a deadly Construction Accident that happened around noon Wednesday on Glover Road in Durham.

According to reports, workers were excavating a septic tank from a home when 37-year-old Charles Franklin Williams, of Broadway, attempted to put a chain under it so it could be removed by a crane. The tank then shifted and pinned Williams against the trench wall.

The Durham fire department removed Williams from the trench, but he died from his injuries.

Williams was the owner of Charles F. Williams Grading and Trucking Company.
